Fleet Management Software
Fleet management software helps a business that owns or leases multiple vehicles track servicing, compliance, costs, and availability across the whole fleet.
Fleet management software is built for the company running the vehicles — tracking servicing schedules, MOT and insurance renewals, fuel and running costs, and driver assignment across a fleet, rather than for a dealer or workshop serving outside customers.
Where it overlaps with a GMS
Workshops that service fleet customers still need a GMS to manage the actual jobs, bookings, and invoicing — fleet software and workshop software solve different problems for different parties in the same relationship, and the two often need to exchange data (such as service history) rather than replace one another.
