Telematics
Telematics is technology that collects and transmits real-time data from a vehicle — such as fault codes, mileage, and battery health — typically via a small OBD device.
Telematics devices plug into a vehicle's OBD port and stream live diagnostic data to a dashboard. In a garage or workshop context, this allows proactive maintenance — contacting a customer when a fault is detected, rather than waiting for them to notice a problem themselves.
