Digital Vehicle Health Check (DVHC)

A Digital Vehicle Health Check (DVHC) is a photo- or video-based inspection report that a technician sends to a customer, usually with traffic-light status ratings for each item checked.

A Digital Vehicle Health Check replaces the traditional paper inspection sheet with photos, video, and a clear red/amber/green status for each checked item (brakes, tyres, fluids, etc.). The customer receives it on their phone and can approve recommended work with a tap, rather than waiting for a phone call.

Why it matters

DVHCs increase transparency and trust — customers can see the actual fault, not just take the garage's word for it — and they tend to increase upsell conversion because approval happens instantly rather than requiring a callback.
